Instructions for Entrusted Declaration

When your parcel ships internationally, a customs declaration has to travel with it. Rather than asking you to fill in export paperwork yourself, FansBuy handles this on your behalf, free of charge. By placing an international order you entrust us to declare the parcel, and we complete the declaration according to the rules of the specific logistics route you choose.

What we declare

A declaration is the information a shipping line and the destination customs use to identify and assess your parcel. For each item consolidated into your box, FansBuy prepares the required declaration details, typically including the commodity name, unit price, quantity, and total value. Different routes and destination countries impose different formats and value rules, so the exact wording and figures are set by the requirements of the route rather than chosen at random.

How the process works

  • You submit the parcel for shipping and, in doing so, entrust FansBuy to declare it. There is no separate declaration fee.
  • We compile the declaration for every item, matching the format each logistics provider and route expects.
  • Once a declaration is confirmed and the parcel has been dispatched, the shipping method and declared content are locked. They cannot be edited afterwards, so please review your parcel contents before you confirm shipping.

Customs risk and responsibility

We declare each parcel as carefully and correctly as the route allows, but FansBuy is not a customs authority. We cannot know how every country's customs will treat every category of goods, and rules change frequently. Because of this, any customs risk, including inspection, delays, or a request for additional documents, is borne by you. We are not liable for the outcome of a customs inspection, and we appreciate your understanding on this point.

Duties, taxes, and reimbursement

Whether import duty or tax applies depends on the route and your destination country. On non-duty-free routes, any charges raised during customs clearance are the responsibility of the recipient. On duty-free routes, FansBuy assists the logistics provider with declaration and, where applicable, with paying taxes so the parcel can clear. In special cases, your local customs may contact you directly and ask you to assist with clearance.

If your parcel does incur clearance-related costs, keep the receipts or official vouchers. You can then contact FansBuy customer service with that proof to apply for reimbursement where eligible.

Practical tips for a smooth clearance

  • Choose a shipping line suited to your country. Some routes are better matched to certain product types or destinations, and this affects how declarations are handled.
  • Confirm your parcel contents and address carefully before shipping, since the declaration is fixed at that stage.
  • Keep every customs or courier receipt so a reimbursement request can be supported.
  • Because tax thresholds, duty-free status, and route rules can change, confirm the current details for your route inside the app or with customer service before you ship.
