Fansbuy Insurance – Parcel Shipping Insurance Service

Fansbuy Insurance is an optional shipping insurance service provided by Fansbuy for cross‑border transportation users, effective from the date of launch.

1. About Fansbuy Insurance

Fansbuy Insurance is an optional shipping insurance service offered by Fansbuy, designed to cover specific risks during international shipping.

Coverage begins once the parcel leaves the Fansbuy warehouse and ends when the parcel is first delivered in the destination country.

Important notes:

Once the parcel leaves the Fansbuy warehouse, the recipient information cannot be changed.

Orders cancelled before shipment are eligible for a refund.

Once a tracking number has been generated, the parcel cannot be cancelled or refunded.

Insurance cannot be purchased after the parcel has been shipped.

2. Coverage

Fansbuy Insurance covers the following incidents that occur during international shipping:

Total loss of the entire shipment

Irreversible customs seizure confirmed by official documents

Damage during transit (requires a complete unboxing video)

Missing items inside the parcel (requires a complete unboxing video)

If the parcel is returned to the Fansbuy warehouse (according to the rules), free re‑shipment applies

The recipient’s name must be the full legal name exactly as registered with the destination country’s tax authority (e.g., CPF in Brazil, CUIL in Argentina). Fansbuy assumes no liability for any customs delays, rejections, or losses resulting from an incorrect CPF or mismatched recipient information. Such incidents are not covered by insurance and are not eligible for compensation.

3. Customer Responsibilities

3.1 Check QC Photos

Customers must carefully review QC inspection photos before shipment and report any issues in a timely manner.

3.2 Unboxing Video Requirements

To file a claim, customers must provide a complete, unedited unboxing video.

The video must:

Show the sealed parcel and the shipping label

Be continuous, with no cuts or edits

Record the entire unboxing process

Clearly show all items

Keep the original video file

Claims submitted without valid video evidence will not be accepted.

3.3 Electronic Devices (Additional Requirements)

Applies to electronic products such as mobile phones, computers, gaming consoles, monitors, tablets, graphics cards, and smart watches.

Customers must purchase the video recording service and provide a complete unboxing and power‑on test video.

The test results should show:

Screen display

Touch functionality

Basic operation

Without video proof, Fansbuy cannot confirm the condition of the product before shipment, and the insurance claim will not be approved.

5. Exclusions (Not Covered)

Insurance does not cover:

Customs duties, taxes, or government fines

Customs seizure due to missing documents

Incomplete recipient information

Incorrect address provided by the customer

False declarations or concealed items

Fragile items without additional protection

Minor dents or outer packaging damage

Prohibited or restricted items

Return shipping fees for DHL, UPS, FedEx, or Aramex

6. Compensation Limits

Maximum compensation per parcel: 10,000 RMB

The insured amount cannot exceed the declared value of the items plus shipping costs

The final compensation cannot exceed the actual value of the items

Examples:

Actual value 500 RMB, insured amount 750 RMB → maximum compensation 500 RMB

Actual value 1,500 RMB, insured amount 750 RMB → maximum compensation 750 RMB

Some shipping carriers may have additional restrictions.

7. Insurance Premium

Insurance fees are calculated based on the selected insured amount, with a standard rate of 6%. Rates for certain routes may vary slightly due to customs conditions, and the final cost shown at checkout shall prevail.

8. Compensation Rules

8.1 Customs Seizure

Required documents:

Official customs seizure document

Tracking status screenshot

Carrier explanation (if applicable)

Total loss → full insured amount

Partial seizure → proportional compensation

Not applicable if caused by unpaid taxes, missing documents, or exceeding import limits.

8.2 Parcel Lost

Defined as:

The shipping company officially declares the shipment lost, or

No tracking updates for 90 days (except for sea freight, rail, or Brazil routes)

Compensation: Full insured amount

8.3 Missing Items

A complete unboxing video and report must be provided within 3 days.

8.4 Damaged Items

Provide an unboxing video, clear photos, and submit a report within 3 days.

Minor dents, shoe box damage, or improper packaging choices are not covered.

8.5 Shipping Delay

If delivery exceeds 60 days (excluding Brazil), compensation is 20% of the shipping fee.

Not applicable to rail, sea freight, China Post SAL, or EUB.

For Brazil routes, no updates after 100 days are still considered valid.

8.6 Parcel Returned to Warehouse

Applicable shipping methods: China Post SAL, EMS, EUB, E‑EMS, China Post Air Mail (by weight), China Post Sea Mail.

Free re‑shipment with the same carrier

Customer pays for any shipping upgrade fees

For DHL, UPS, FedEx, and Aramex:

Return shipping fees are non‑refundable and must be borne by the customer.

9. Orders Without Insurance

If Fansbuy Insurance is not purchased:

Maximum compensation is one‑third of the item value, capped at 1,000 RMB

Compensation is at the sole discretion of Fansbuy

10. Self‑Sourced Orders

If proof of value is provided, insurance can cover up to twice the declared value.

Required documents may include invoices, order screenshots, payment receipts, or other verifiable evidence.

11. Final Provisions

All claims are subject to anti‑fraud review

Fansbuy may reject a claim due to insufficient evidence

Fraudulent claims will result in cancellation of insurance coverage

Purchasing insurance constitutes full acceptance of these terms

②Orders canceled before shipment are eligible for a refund.

③Once a tracking number is issued, cancellation or refund is no        longer possible.

④Insurance cannot be purchased after shipment.

2. Coverage

Fansbuy Insurance covers the following incidents:

1.Total loss of the parcel

2.Irreversible customs seizure (with official documentation)

3.Damage during transit (with full unboxing video)

4.Missing items (with full unboxing video)

Free reshipment if returned to the FansBuy warehouse (per policy)

3. Customer Responsibilities

3.1 QC Verification

3.2 Unboxing Video Requirements

Must be complete, unedited, and show the entire process. Claims without valid video proof will be rejected.

3.3 Electronics (Additional Requirements)

Full unboxing + functionality test video required, including screen, touch, and basic operation.

7. Premium

Insurance Fee = Insured Value × 6%

8. Claims Policy (Summary)

·Loss: Full insured value (no updates for 90 days)

·Damage/Missing: Valid proof required within 3 days

·Delay: 20% shipping refund if >60 days (excl. Brazil & specific lines)

·Customs Seizure: Full or partial compensation (valid documents required)

9. Uninsured Parcels

Max compensation: 1/3 item value, capped at ¥1,000. Final decision by FansBuy.

10. Self-Purchased Orders

Coverage up to 2× declared value (with proof). False declarations are not eligible.

11. Final Terms

All claims are subject to anti-fraud review. Fraudulent claims will void coverage.

Purchasing insurance means full acceptance of these terms.
